| TIPI COVERS were traditionally made with Buffalo hides, until Europeans almost exterminated all buffaloes (and Native People), thanks to Buffalo Bill and his friends. Nowadays, however, canvas (from hemp) is usually used to make them. The above photos of a Tepee that I, we, built in 1991, are thus rather unusual. |
